Conway Red

Kelsea FabricF4674-15

Conway Red is a warm, gently heathered red with a coral lean and a softly woven linen look. The surface reads textured and natural, with tiny flecks that stop the colour feeling flat.

About this fabric

This Kelsea fabric from Colefax and Fowler is composed of 49% viscose, 45% linen and 6% polyester, with an approximate width of 138cm and no repeat in either direction. The weave visible in the swatch is a small, even texture with a dry, slubbed character that gives the colour plenty of movement. Conway Red sits between coral and muted tomato red, so it feels warm and lively rather than deep or formal. The tone is pleasantly softened by the weave, which breaks up the red into tiny variations and gives the cloth a relaxed, handcrafted appearance.

How to use it

Use Conway Red to bring warmth to a neutral scheme, especially against pale stone, chalky white or natural oak. Its softened coral-red tone also works well for cushions or curtains where you want colour without a heavy, saturated look.

A softly heathered coral red that works neatly across cushions, drapes and light upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
