Seville red
Diffusion Fabricsaville/fa1/rus
Seville Red brings a light, blossom-led feel to the Diffusion collection, with painterly sprays of pink, coral and apricot flowers against a pale ground. The overall effect is airy rather than heavy, giving the design a fresh, springlike character.

About this fabric
Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has enough body for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings while still feeling relaxed in hand. The visible ground reads as a soft, pale minty blue with a gently slubbed texture, which gives the print a slightly lived-in, natural finish. Across that background, the branching botanical motif is scattered in loose vertical groupings, with blossom heads painted in warm coral red, blush pink, peach and touches of yellow. The 70cm horizontal repeat and 82cm vertical repeat support the generous spacing of the design, helping the stems and blooms read clearly across a wider make-up.
How to use it
Use Seville Red where you want colour without visual heaviness: it suits relaxed curtains, Roman blinds or cushions in rooms with pale timber, chalky paint or soft greys. The coral-and-pink blossom palette works especially well in light-filled spaces that can carry a gentle, garden-inspired mood.
A fresh blossom print that softens a room with its airy, painterly colour.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Seville red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
