Sprinkles purple

Diffusion Fabricsprinkl/fa1/dam

Sprinkles Purple scatters a playful watercolour confetti across a creamy ground, with lilac, plum, blue and fresh green marks floating lightly over the cloth. The overall effect is soft, airy and painterly rather than dense.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230gsm fabric has the easy handle of a decorative furnishing cloth, and it is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The design shows irregular ink-like spots and petal shapes in mauve, violet, sky blue and pale sage, each edged with a darker outline that gives the print a hand-painted look. Against the light background, the purple notes feel cool and softly saturated, with enough contrast to keep the pattern lively without becoming heavy. The 35cm horizontal repeat and 41.2cm vertical repeat suit larger drops where the scattered motif can breathe.

How to use it

This colourway works beautifully in bright, relaxed rooms where the lilac and blue tones can lift white walls and natural oak. Pair it with blush accents or soft green accessories to echo the fabric’s watercolour palette.

Use with pale woods and chalky neutrals to let the airy watercolour pattern stay fresh.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
