About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this fabric has a soft handle and a relaxed, mid-weight drape that suits curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. The colourway is not a dense, saturated purple; instead it reads as a washed lilac with pale blue-grey shadows and hints of mauve, giving the leaf motif a fresh, airy finish. The large 69 cm horizontal and 69.4 cm vertical repeat creates a sweeping, full-scale pattern that works best where the design can be seen unfolding across the width of a window. At 230 gsm and with no fire-retardant treatment noted, it is best kept to decorative interior uses and cleaned by dry clean only.

How to use it

Pair this cool lilac palette with chalky whites, pale oak and brushed silver for a calm, contemporary scheme. It also softens darker scheme colours, adding a botanical note without feeling too bold.

Use for airy curtains or Roman blinds to bring a light, painterly lift to the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
