Ilinizas blue

Equator Fabriciliniza/fa1/cle

Ilinizas Blue from Voyage Maison’s Equator collection shows a loose, painterly botanical print on a pale ground. The swatch mixes soft indigo, lavender and grey with touches of ochre and olive, giving the design a calm but expressive feel.

About this fabric

This fabric is made from 95% cotton and 5% linen, with a substantial 230gsm handle and a useable width of 138cm. It is suitable for curtains, blinds and soft furnishings, and the dry-clean-only finish suits a polished decorative scheme. The print reads as an abstract meadow of branching stems and blotched petals, with the blue areas appearing cool and slightly watercolour-washed against the off-white ground. A horizontal repeat of 69.5cm and vertical repeat of 46.5cm helps the motif unfold with a generous, mural-like rhythm across larger pieces.

How to use it

The cool blue and grey palette works beautifully in light-filled rooms, especially alongside chalk whites, pale timber and brushed metal. Use it for full-length curtains or statement cushions where the indigo marks can provide gentle contrast without feeling heavy.

Use for airy curtains or occasional upholstery where the painterly blue tones can take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
