Eildon blue

Ettrick Fabriceildon/fa1/blu

Eildon Blue pairs a soft duck-egg ground with silvery leaf trails for a calm, airy finish. The overall effect feels fresh and lightly botanical, with the motif sitting clearly against the woven base.

About this fabric

Woven in 95% cotton and 5% linen, this 230 gsm fabric has enough substance for soft furnishings while still feeling suitably fluid for curtains and blinds. The 138cm usable width and 46cm horizontal by 50cm vertical repeat make the climbing leaf design feel generous and ordered across the cloth. In this colourway, the pale blue ground reads cool and slightly chalky, while the leaf detail is lifted in soft cream, grey and whisper-green tones that give the pattern a gentle contrast. Dry clean only, iron safe, and not fire retardant, it is a practical decorative textile rather than a heavy contract fabric.

How to use it

Use Eildon Blue where you want a light, restful colour with a refined country-house feel: it suits full-length curtains, Roman blinds and coordinated cushions. Pair it with bleached wood, chalk white and pale grey upholstery to keep the blue tone crisp.

A fresh blue leaf design that works well for tailored curtains or relaxed upholstery accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
