About this colour

This colour reads as a rich, earthy gold with brown undertones, so it feels warm rather than bright or lemony. It reflects light gently without looking shiny, which helps it keep depth on a wall. In a north-facing room it can look more mellow and subdued, with the ochre note coming forward; in south-facing light it becomes warmer and more golden, with a clearer sunlit cast. It sits well beside cream, tobacco, olive, walnut and other natural woods, and the Active Emulsion and Waterbased Eggshell finishes suit both walls and joinery.

How to use it

Golden Honey works well in a dining room, study or snug where a cocooning but open colour is wanted. It pairs neatly with timber furniture, brown leather, oatmeal upholstery and patterned curtains in green, rust or deep blue.

On a wall, Golden Honey brings a warm golden depth that feels settled rather than brash.
