About this colour

This shade, #D4CDBD, reads as a light warm beige with a restrained grey cast, so it softens a room rather than brightening it sharply. In north-facing light it can look a little flatter and cooler, with the grey showing more clearly, while in south-facing rooms the warmth comes forward and it feels drier and more golden. On walls in Active Emulsion it will give a quiet, even backdrop, and in Waterbased Eggshell it brings the same note to joinery with a slightly crisper finish. It sits well beside natural oak, pale walnut, chalky whites, mushroom tones and muted greens, and it gives a steady ground for patterned upholstery and curtains without competing with them.

How to use it
