Historic Royal Palaces FabricBF10663.2

Tudor Square Bronze has a softly burnished, taupe-bronze ground with a fine square grid emerging through the weave. Its restrained metallic warmth gives the surface a subtle glow without becoming bright or brassy.

About this fabric

The woven design is formed from delicate horizontal and vertical lines, creating softly irregular squares across the cloth rather than a sharply graphic check. In this colourway, pale bronze, warm stone and muted taupe tones blend together, while the zari catches the light with a quiet glint. The fabric is 136 cm (53.43") wide and has a 34 cm (13.36") vertical and horizontal pattern repeat. Composed of 9% silk, 50% cotton, 26% zari and 15% polyester, it is specified for curtains and bedspreads; it must be professionally dry cleaned and must not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use the muted bronze-taupe tone for full-length curtains where its fine lustre can shift gently with daylight, then echo the woven grid on a tailored bedspread. It pairs especially well with warm stone, aged timber and antique metal finishes.

A softly luminous bronze textile for curtains and coordinated bedspreads in quietly elegant rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
