About this fabric

This colourway combines muted ochre, honey and light tan tones, creating a warm but restrained impression rather than a bright yellow. The close horizontal texture is formed by a small 16 cm vertical repeat and a 2.5 cm horizontal repeat, giving the surface a softly rhythmic appearance. Composed of 44% viscose, 21% linen, 13% polyester, 6% wool, 13% cotton and 3% nylon, the 137 cm-wide fabric is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. A 30,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered pieces; it must be professionally dry cleaned and should not be washed, bleached or ironed.

How to use it

Use Saxon Ochre to warm a neutral sitting room through a tailored sofa, occasional chair or relaxed curtains. Its fine horizontal weave works particularly well with cream, natural linen, walnut and deeper rust accents.

A warm, finely striated ochre weave that brings gentle depth to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
