About this fabric

The swatch shows a softly mottled blue-grey ground, with delicate pale and deeper threads creating a restrained woven texture rather than a bold motif. Composed of 64% viscose, 14% cotton, 12% polyester and 10% linen, it has the nuanced surface associated with a mixed-fibre weave. At 137 cm wide, with a 4 cm vertical repeat and 3.5 cm horizontal repeat, it is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. The 35,000 Martindale rub test supports its use on upholstered furniture, while professional dry cleaning is required.

How to use it

Use Morton Blue to introduce a cool, lightly weathered note on a chair, sofa or relaxed curtain, particularly alongside chalky whites, soft greys and natural timber. Its fine texture and low-contrast colour also suit coordinated bedspreads without overwhelming a room.

A cool, softly flecked blue-grey weave that brings quiet texture to upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
