Morton Indigo

Burford Weaves II FabricBF11084.680

Morton Indigo is a cool blue-grey textile with a close, peppered weave that gives the surface a softly mottled depth. The indigo tone reads quietly sophisticated rather than brightly saturated, with fine pale flecks catching across the cloth.

About this fabric

The finely textured surface blends muted indigo, blue-grey and small lighter threads into an understated woven effect; the supplied pattern repeat is 4 cm vertically by 3.5 cm horizontally. Made from 64% viscose, 14% cotton, 12% polyester and 10% linen, it has a balanced composition suited to both softness and practical furnishing use. At 137 cm wide, Morton Indigo is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Its 35,000 Martindale rub test makes it suitable for hard-working seating, while the care instructions require professional dry cleaning and prohibit washing, bleaching and ironing.

How to use it

Use the cool indigo-blue tone to bring depth to a neutral room, especially on a tailored chair, sofa or relaxed curtain. Pair it with chalky whites, soft greys and pale natural woods to draw out the lighter flecks in the weave.

A cool, finely mottled indigo weave for tailored upholstery, curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
