Morton Ochre

Burford Weaves II FabricBF11084.840

Morton Ochre has a warm, sun-baked ochre tone that shifts subtly across the surface as the fine weave catches the light. The close, even texture gives this colourway a softly dimensional appearance without a visible printed motif.

About this fabric

Woven from 64% viscose, 14% cotton, 12% polyester and 10% linen, Morton Ochre balances a softly lustrous surface with the irregular character of a mixed-fibre weave. It is 137 cm (53.82") wide and has a small 4 cm vertical and 3.5 cm horizontal pattern repeat, created by the fine woven texture rather than a bold graphic design. Suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, it also carries a 35,000 Martindale rub test. The fabric must not be washed, bleached or ironed and requires professional dry cleaning.

How to use it

Use Morton Ochre to warm a neutral room with an earthy golden note: it works particularly well on a relaxed armchair, tailored headboard or full-length curtains. Pair it with chalky creams, natural timber and muted olive or tobacco accents to echo the fabric’s mellow depth.

Its warm ochre tone and fine woven texture bring gentle depth to upholstered seating, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
