Trentham Blue

Burford Weaves II FabricBF11085.660

Trentham Blue has a quietly intricate woven surface, where fine blue-grey and warm pale threads form a closely spaced broken zigzag texture. The cool shade is softened by the natural-looking flecks running through the cloth.

About this fabric

This mid-weight textile is composed of 47% viscose, 20% linen, 19% polyester and 14% cotton, giving the pale blue-grey colourway a gently varied, tactile appearance. Its small-scale woven pattern remains subtle at a distance, while the close-up swatch reveals fine vertical movement and tiny chevron-like breaks. At 137 cm wide and tested to 35,000 Martindale rubs, it is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. Care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use Trentham Blue to bring a cool, composed note to a sofa, headboard or loose cover, pairing it with chalky neutrals and pale timber to draw out the cloth’s soft grey warmth. Its fine texture also makes it a restrained choice for curtains or a coordinated bedspread.

A versatile blue-grey woven texture for tailored upholstery, relaxed loose covers, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Trentham Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
