Hopton Red

Burford Weaves II FabricBF11086.450

Hopton Red has a finely grained, two-tone woven surface, reading as a muted coral red from a distance and revealing a tiny check-like structure up close. Its softly varied red tone gives the swatch depth without introducing a bold motif.

About this fabric

The close-scale weave combines coral-red and lighter flecks in a compact, subtly irregular check, with a dry, finely textured appearance rather than a glossy finish. Composed of 37% cotton, 32% viscose, 19% polyester and 12% linen, it is 137 cm (53.82") wide. The fabric is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads, and carries a 50,000 Martindale rub test. After care is professional dry cleaning only: do not wash, bleach or iron.

How to use it

Use the warm, muted coral-red as a tailored accent on a window seat, armchair or headboard, pairing it with chalky neutrals and darker red-brown wood for a quietly layered scheme. Its small-scale weave can also cover curtains or bedspreads without overwhelming a room.

A finely textured coral-red weave for tailored upholstery, curtains and coordinated bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
