Hopton Red/Blue

Burford Weaves II FabricBF11086.562

Hopton Red/Blue reads as a densely woven micro-check rather than a flat block colour, with muted brick-red threaded through by fine blue. The close-up surface has a softly peppered, gently textured appearance.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a very small, even check woven from muted red and cool blue, with the two colours blending into a softly mottled surface at a distance. Its compact weave gives the colourway more depth than a plain red, while the blue threads temper the warmth of the ground. Made from 37% cotton, 32% viscose, 19% polyester and 12% linen, it is 137 cm (53.82") wide. A 50,000 Martindale rub test supports its stated use for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads.

How to use it

Use the dusty red as a warm accent on a chair, sofa or headboard, allowing the small blue check to connect with cooler painted walls or blue textiles. Its restrained scale also works neatly on curtains and bedspreads without dominating the room.

A finely woven red-and-blue check with a quietly tailored character for upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
