Basil Stripe Red/Indigo combines closely spaced vertical lines in warm brick red, soft cream and deep indigo. Small repeating indigo marks punctuate the stripe, giving the woven surface a crisp, rhythmic character.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% cotton, this 137 cm-wide fabric has a 19.5 cm horizontal pattern repeat and a finely detailed striped layout. The red reads as a softened brick or clay tone rather than a bright scarlet, while the indigo accents add cool depth against the creamy ground. Its listed uses include curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads. For care, it should not be washed, bleached or ironed and must be professionally dry cleaned.

How to use it

Use the warm brick-red stripes to add tailored colour to a reading chair, headboard or upholstered bench, then pick up the indigo marks with cushions or painted joinery. As curtains, the narrow vertical rhythm can bring a composed, gently graphic finish without overwhelming the room.
