About this fabric

This Alaska Collection fabric by Ashley Wilde is made from 100% polyester and is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, with a 45,000 severe contract rub test and a 146cm width. In this colourway, the cinnamon tone reads as a rich red-brown rather than a bright red, with a warm, spicy cast that darkens slightly in the folds of the swatch. The surface has a fine, lightly brushed look that catches the light in a muted way, giving the plain weave a soft, elegant finish. At 300gsm, it has the substance expected of a versatile contract fabric that can sit comfortably on furniture or hang neatly at the window.

How to use it

Use this shade to bring warmth to walnut, brass and leather, or to add depth to a scheme built from taupe, stone and softened whites. It is especially effective where a strong red is wanted, but in a more grounded, cinnamon-leaning register.

A warm, grounded red that works well on statement seating or tailored drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
