Dakota Claret

Dakota Collection FabricDAKOTA

Dakota Claret shows a deep claret red with a subtle weathered texture that softens the overall look. The colour reads rich and grounded, with darker woven flecks giving the surface extra depth.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Dakota Claret is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, with a 60,000 severe contract rub test for demanding schemes. The fabric has a plain, textured appearance rather than a defined motif, and the image shows a dusky claret tone with gently mottled shading across the surface. At 147 cm wide and 300 gsm, it sits in a sturdy mid-to-heavier weight that feels practical as well as decorative. The 51 cm vertical and horizontal repeat is noted in the specification, although the visible effect here is an understated, texture-led finish. Made in Spain, it has the composed look of a contract fabric with enough warmth to feel inviting.

How to use it

Use Dakota Claret on a sofa, banquette or dining chairs where the deep red can bring warmth without looking bright. It also works well for curtains or full-height drapes alongside taupe, stone, or aged brass.

Pair it with warm neutrals or dark timber for a rich, tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
