Dakota Alabaster

Dakota Collection FabricDAKOTA

Dakota Alabaster is a very pale cream with a softly chalky, gently striated surface. The finish reads quiet and refined, with just enough texture to keep the colour from looking flat.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Dakota Alabaster is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, and it carries a 60,000 severe contract rub test. The fabric has a subtle textured plain appearance, with fine horizontal flecking that gives the surface a softly brushed, linen-like effect. In this colourway the shade sits in an alabaster cream range rather than a stark white, so it feels warmer and more usable in a room. Its 147 cm width and 300 gsm weight point to a substantial, versatile cloth that will hold its own in both seating and window treatments. Made in Spain, it has a clean, tailored look with a muted matte finish.

How to use it

Use Alabaster where you want a light backdrop that still feels upholstered rather than crisp or clinical. It pairs well with pale oak, sand, stone and warm metallic accents, especially in relaxed contemporary schemes.

A calm, light neutral that softens a scheme without feeling stark.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
