Alaska Wine is a rich, velvety-looking plain in a deep wine red with a softly mottled surface. The colour reads plush and saturated, with darker plum shadows that give the swatch extra depth.

About this fabric

From the Alaska Collection by Ashley Wilde, this fabric is 100% polyester and specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes. The 146cm width and 45,000 severe contract rub test make it a practical choice for demanding interiors. Visually, Alaska Wine is a dense burgundy with a plum undertone, and the surface takes light in a soft, quiet way rather than a glossy one. Its plain style and substantial 300gsm handle give it a composed, tailored feel that suits both seating and window treatments. Made in China, it offers a deep, luxurious colour that sits confidently in scheme.

How to use it

Pair this wine shade with dark timber, aged brass and textured neutrals for a grounded, luxurious look. It also works well as a dramatic drape colour against cream walls or as upholstery on a statement chair.

Use it for rich upholstery or elegant drapes where you want a deep, cocooning finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
