Brophy Embroidery Wine

Melsetter Fabric & Weaves FabricMOF0114-02

Brophy Embroidery Wine brings a deep, saturated wine-red ground to a tightly ordered embroidered design. Fine cream-gold lines form interlocking medallions, leaf shapes and scrolling geometry, giving the swatch a richly patterned, jewel-toned presence.

About this fabric

The dense repeating pattern combines looping oval forms, pointed leaf motifs and small star-like details in a light cream-gold tone that stands clearly against the wine background. At 254 gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight textile suited to both upholstery and drapery, with a 137.5 cm usable width. The pattern repeats every 46.5 cm vertically and 45 cm horizontally, while the 78 threads-per-centimetre construction gives the surface a closely woven appearance. A standard length of 40 metres supports coordinated use across larger schemes.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a statement armchair, footstool or full-length curtains where its deep wine tone can act as the room’s warm anchor. Balance the ornate cream-gold geometry with aged brass, dark wood and softly textured neutrals.

Pair the rich wine ground and cream-gold pattern with warm timber, antique brass or quiet neutral upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
