Melsetter Linen

Melsetter Fabric & Weaves FabricMOF0119-03

Melsetter Linen combines a warm ivory ground with a densely drawn tree-of-life pattern, creating a softly aged botanical impression. Muted blue, sage, coral, terracotta and ochre details give the colourway gentle depth without making it feel bright or heavily contrasted.

About this fabric

The warm ivory background reads softer than pure white, allowing the fine branches, leafy sprays and scattered flowers to remain detailed while keeping the overall effect light. Large branching botanical panels repeat across the cloth, with muted blue and sage foliage balanced by dusty coral, terracotta and ochre accents. At 265 gsm and 139 cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight furnishing fabric suitable for both upholstery and drapery. Its 98.5 cm vertical repeat and 69 cm horizontal repeat make the tree-like panels a clear part of the finished composition, particularly on larger pieces or full-length curtains.

How to use it

Use this warm ivory colourway to soften a reading room, bedroom or sitting room, pairing its muted blue-green foliage with natural wood, aged brass and plain linen-toned upholstery. On curtains, the large botanical repeat can bring pattern and height without introducing a saturated colour block.

The warm ivory ground and muted multicoloured foliage suit curtains, occasional upholstery and relaxed traditional interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
