About this fabric

This Morris & Co. velvet weighs 416gsm, giving the detailed peacock-and-rabbit design the substantial handle expected of a statement upholstery cloth. The near-black charcoal background makes the sage and forest green birds recede and emerge, while golden animals, cream foliage and small rust-red flower accents catch the eye. Its 93cm vertical repeat and 134cm horizontal repeat create a large-scale, closely packed composition across the 134cm usable width. A construction of 30.2 threads per cm supports the finely detailed appearance of the printed-looking botanical scene.

How to use it

Use this charcoal colourway on a feature armchair, headboard or occasional sofa where the forest green and antique-gold motifs can be read against quieter walls. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and plain textiles in moss, charcoal or tobacco tones.
