Blackthorn Green

Morris 160th Anniversary Fabric FabricMOF0003-01

Blackthorn Green layers a dense botanical pattern over a deep, cool moss-green ground. Cream sprigs, berry-toned flowers and small blue accents give the dark colourway a richly shaded woodland character.

About this fabric

The design is filled with curling foliage, scattered blossom and repeated floral medallions, creating a detailed surface with a distinctly traditional Morris & Co. feel. Its deep green ground reads cool and muted, allowing the burgundy-berry flowers and pale cream details to stand out without becoming bright. At 230 gsm, this mid-weight fabric is suited to both upholstery and drapery, with a 137 cm usable width. The pattern repeat measures 80.5 cm vertically by 70 cm horizontally, so the placement of its larger floral groupings should be considered when cutting.

How to use it

Pair Blackthorn Green with warm wood, aged brass and quiet cream upholstery to balance its cool, leafy depth. It works particularly well as full-length curtains or on a reading chair where the berry and blue floral accents can be seen up close.

Use this deep moss green botanical design to bring woodland depth to curtains, occasional upholstery or a statement chair.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
