Bamboo Indigo/Woad

Bamboo Indigo/Woad layers deep indigo-blue leaves and fine red curling stems over a softly aged cream ground. The cool blue foliage gives the close-set botanical pattern a measured, quietly graphic character.

About this fabric

The design is made up of repeating pointed leaves, slender stems and curling red linework, with the cream background showing clearly between each botanical cluster. Indigo and woad-blue tones range from dense, shadowed navy to lighter blue highlights, while the red tracery adds a warm counterpoint. The vertical repeat is 42 cm and the horizontal repeat is 46 cm, creating a medium-scale pattern with a steady rhythm across the cloth. At 300 gsm and 52 threads per cm, it has a substantial mid-weight presence, with a 137 cm usable width and 60 m standard length.

How to use it

Pair this cool indigo colourway with chalky creams, weathered timber and muted terracotta accents. Its 137 cm usable width and mid-weight 300 gsm handle make it suitable for coordinated upholstery and drapery schemes.

Use the cool indigo leaves and warm red tracery to bring patterned depth to seating, cushions or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
