Bamboo Russet/Siena

Morris 160th Anniversary Fabric FabricMOF0048-02

Bamboo Russet/Siena brings a warm, densely arranged botanical pattern to a softly textured cream ground. Russet-red leaves, ochre details and olive-brown curling stems give this colourway a rich, earthy character.

About this fabric

This 300 gsm fabric combines a warm cream background with rust-red and burnt-russet leaves, ochre accents and fine olive-brown stems. The medium-scale botanical repeat creates a continuous, interlocking surface, with the darker foliage adding depth against the lighter ground. It has a 137 cm usable width, with a 42 cm vertical repeat and 46 cm horizontal repeat. The supplied specification records 52 threads per cm and a standard length of 60 m.

How to use it

Use Bamboo Russet/Siena for curtains, occasional upholstery or a statement chair where its warm cream ground can soften the deeper russet foliage. Echo the russet with leather or terracotta, and balance it with olive green and natural wood.

Pair the warm russet and cream palette with natural timber, olive accents and quietly patterned furnishings.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bamboo Russet/Siena without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
