About this fabric

The substantial 425 gsm weight and 35.9 threads per cm give this fabric a dense, upholstery-suitable presence. Against the warm crimson-red ground, pale sage and blue-green leaves wind around cream-and-green peacocks, alert rabbits and small red flowers. The peacock feather eyes create repeated pools of cream and olive, while the animal figures bring a more naturalistic, finely detailed focus to the pattern. Its 90.5 cm vertical repeat and 139 cm horizontal repeat make the large-scale design especially visible across broad upholstered surfaces.

How to use it

Use the deep crimson ground to make a reading chair, footstool or headboard feel enveloping, then pick up the foliage with muted sage walls or teal-green painted furniture. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the peacocks and rabbits remain the room’s visual centre.

Use this richly detailed red colourway on a statement chair, ottoman or occasional upholstered piece, balanced with quiet natural linens and deep green accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Forest (Viscose) Red without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
