Albany Midnight is a deep, cool blue woven fabric with a visibly layered crosshatch surface. Fine lighter threads move across the dark ground, giving the colour depth rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric

The surface is densely woven, with irregular horizontal and vertical yarn lines creating a softly weathered, textile-rich texture. Its midnight-blue tone reads cool and inky overall, while the subtle flecks and intersecting threads catch the light in quieter blue-grey accents. At 517 gsm, this is a substantial cloth well suited to upholstery, including seating where a weighty, structured handle is useful. The supplied usable width is 139 cm, and both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, so the textured plain can be positioned without motif matching.

How to use it

Pair Albany Midnight with warm timber, aged brass and pale neutral upholstery to soften its cool depth. It also works as a tailored dark-blue statement on a sofa, armchair or dining chair.

Use this deep blue woven upholstery fabric to bring depth and tailored contrast to seating and occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
