About this fabric

The colour sits between olive moss and warm taupe-brown, with a subdued depth that reads earthy and quietly tonal in the swatch. Fine intersecting yarn lines create a restrained woven texture, while slight variations in the surface keep the plain design visually tactile. At 517gsm and 139cm usable width, Albany Moss has the substantial handle expected of an upholstery cloth. With a 0cm vertical and 0cm horizontal pattern repeat, it can be cut without pattern matching concerns; the stated standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Albany Moss on a deep-set sofa, armchair or ottoman where its weight and earthy moss-taupe tone can anchor warmer timber, natural fibres and softly aged finishes. Its quiet crosshatch also works well as a textural plain alongside patterned cushions.

A dense, softly crosshatched moss-brown weave suited to substantial upholstery and softly tailored furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
