Fulmar Midnight shows a tightly ordered geometric weave in a deep blue-black ground, softened by a faintly lighter thread that gives the surface quiet movement.

About this fabric

Fulmar Midnight from the Gustav collection by Jane Churchill is a fabric with a repeat of approximately V 3cm / H 3cm and a width of approximately 138cm. Its composition of 43% viscose, 32% cotton and 25% polyester gives the cloth a crisp, structured handle with a subtle textile sheen. In this colourway, the small square motif reads as smoky midnight blue rather than a flat navy, with the pattern emerging gently from the dark ground. The overall effect is smart and restrained, with enough texture to add interest without overpowering a room.

How to use it

Use Fulmar Midnight on an armchair, ottoman or tailored cushions where the small-scale geometry can read up close. It also works well for curtains in a scheme of charcoal, pale grey or inky blue, where the dark ground adds depth.

A dark, tailored weave that brings subtle depth to both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
