Gustav Silver/Blue

Gustav FabricJ0203-03

Gustav Silver/Blue has a cool, softly weathered look, with tiny zigzag stripes in silver, blue-grey and muted sage tones. The overall effect is refined but relaxed, with a lightly textured surface that reads from a distance as a gentle woven stripe.

About this fabric

Woven in a 140cm width and composed of 56% polyester, 30% viscose and 14% cotton, Gustav has the practical feel of a decorative fabric rather than a pure formal textile. The repeat is 7cm vertically and 20cm horizontally, which creates the fine, stepped zigzag rhythm seen across the surface. In this colourway, the pale silver ground is lifted by misty blue and stone-toned accents, so the design feels cool, airy and slightly muted rather than strongly contrasted. The weave gives the swatch a dry, tactile finish that suits a room needing pattern without heaviness.

How to use it

Use this silver-blue version for tailored cushions, a slim occasional chair or relaxed curtains where the small-scale pattern can read clearly. It pairs especially well with chalk white, pale oak and deeper blue accents for a calm layered scheme.

The muted blue-grey zigzag gives a tailored, easygoing finish on either upholstered pieces or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
