Lanius Taupe

Gustav FabricJ0205-04

Lanius Taupe has a softly structured, woven look, with the pattern emerging in pale, broken strokes over a warm taupe ground. The effect is refined and textural rather than high-contrast.

About this fabric

This colourway pairs a muted taupe-beige base with a lighter chalky motif, giving the design a gently weathered, almost stonewashed character. The fabric is 140cm wide and composed of 80% viscose, 15% polyester, 4% linen and 1% polyamide, so it has a smooth visual finish with a little natural slub-like character from the linen content. The repeat is a generous V 91cm / H 35cm approx, which supports the strong vertical rhythm visible across the swatch. It reads as a smart, versatile textile with enough texture to soften crisp interiors without feeling rustic.

How to use it

Use it on a clean-lined armchair, banquette or blind where the taupe ground can warm oak, plaster pink or stone finishes. It also works well with bronze, putty and pale linen tones for a calm, layered scheme.

A quietly textural taupe that works well on tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
