Hopper Charcoal is a subdued taupe-grey plain with a softly mottled, linen-rich look. The close weave gives it a calm, tailored presence rather than a flat solid.

About this fabric

This charcoal colourway reads as a warm mushroom taupe rather than a hard grey, with fine cross-weave texture visible across the surface. The blend of 46% cotton, 41% polyester and 13% linen gives the cloth a natural, slightly dry handle and a quietly structured appearance. At approximately 140cm wide, it is a practical furnishing width, and the 0cm vertical and horizontal repeat confirms a straightforward plain for easy cutting and seaming. Care code Q 8 + W 3 and fire code K are supplied for specification reference.

How to use it

Use Hopper Charcoal on a sofa or armchair where a restrained, low-contrast neutral is needed, or hang it as understated curtains to soften a room without brightening the palette. It sits neatly with timber, stone and black accents, and the muted taupe-grey tone helps sharper colours feel more settled.

A grounded neutral that works cleanly on tailored upholstery or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
