Hudson FabricJ0276-02

Raoul Taupe is a quietly textured taupe with a warm sandy cast and a fine, closely worked check. The surface reads calm and tailored rather than bold, with just enough movement to catch the light.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a muted beige-taupe ground lifted by subtle tonal flecks, giving the fabric a dry, woven softness rather than a flat plain. The tiny repeat of V 1cm / H 1cm approx keeps the check discreet, so the effect is more textural than graphic. At 138cm approx wide and woven in 70% Cotton, 19% Acrylic, 7% Linen and 4% Polyester, it has the balance and handle of a versatile decorative fabric. The overall tone is warm and earthy, with a gentle heathered depth that makes it feel settled and easy to live with. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and √BH fire rating are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Raoul Taupe on upholstery or relaxed curtains where you want a neutral that still has texture and presence. Its warm sandy note pairs especially well with pale woods, linen whites and darker accent leathers.

A softly tailored neutral that layers easily with oak, stone and deeper earth tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
