About this fabric

Raoul Stone from the Hudson collection by Jane Churchill is a fabric with a subtle plain weave and a lightly slubby, tactile finish. The colour reads as a warm stone beige with creamy undertones, softly mottled rather than flat, so it feels natural and easy to live with. At approximately 138cm wide, and composed of 70% cotton, 19% acrylic, 7% linen and 4% polyester, it has the practicality of a blended cloth with a reassuringly tailored look. The small repeat of around 1cm both vertically and horizontally keeps the surface visually quiet, making the texture and gentle tonal movement the main story. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BH are supplied for specification-led selection.

How to use it

Use this shade to calm a room with pale oak, chalky painted joinery or warmer taupe accents. It is especially effective on structured upholstery or simple curtains where its soft stone colour can read cleanly in natural light.

A quiet neutral that works across contemporary upholstery and soft drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
