Hopper Taupe

Hopper FabricJ0239-08

Hopper Taupe is a softly grounded neutral with a warm beige-taupe cast and a fine, even woven surface. Its plain, tonally mixed finish gives it a quiet depth rather than a flat solid look.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a gentle, sun-warmed taupe with beige and biscuit undertones, softened by the linen content in the weave. The surface shows a subtle crosshatch texture that keeps the shade from feeling stark, while the overall effect remains clean and understated. With a width of approximately 140cm and a composition of 46% Cotton, 41% Polyester and 13% Linen, it is a practical cloth with a natural handle and a refined appearance. The repeat is vertical 0cm / horizontal 0cm approx, confirming the plain construction seen in the image.

How to use it

Use this taupe on a tailored sofa or bench where its restrained warmth can balance darker woods, black metal or textured stone. It also works well as a calm drapery or blind fabric in rooms that need a soft, light-absorbing neutral.

A calm neutral that layers easily with timber, stone and deeper accent colours.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
