Hopper Tomato

Hopper FabricJ0239-43

Hopper Tomato is a richly coloured plain with a warm tomato-orange cast and a subtle woven texture visible across the surface. The shade feels vivid but softened rather than brash, giving it an easy, lived-in energy.

About this fabric

Woven in 46% cotton, 41% polyester and 13% linen, this 140cm approx fabric has the crisp, slightly dry handle suggested by its cotton-linen mix, with polyester lending extra stability. The colour is a clear tomato orange with terracotta warmth, sitting between red and rust rather than reading as a bright primary tone. Its plain surface shows fine vertical and horizontal flecks from the weave, which keeps the colour looking nuanced in changing light. With repeat V 0cm / H 0cm approx, it is straightforward to cut and use across a range of interior projects. The care code Q 8 + W 3 and fire code K complete a practical upholstery and curtain specification.

How to use it

Use it to warm up neutral upholstery, where the orange-red depth will stand out against stone, oatmeal or taupe. It also works well as a bold curtain or cushion colour in rooms that need a lively, sunbaked accent.

A confident burnt-orange plain that brings warmth and texture to both seating and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
