Huxley Brick

Huxley FabricJ0294-38

Huxley Brick is a softly textured plain weave in a muted brick-rose tone with a warm, earthy cast. The surface reads dry and natural, with the colour settling into the weave rather than sitting flat on top.

About this fabric

Woven in 51% cotton and 49% polyester, Huxley Brick has a clean, even handle and an understated cloth-like texture. The 138cm approximate width and vertical/horizontal repeat of 0cm make it a straightforward choice for cuttings where the colour and weave are the focus. This colourway sits between dusty terracotta and softened pink-brown, giving it more warmth than a classic clay and less redness than a true brick shade. Its matte finish keeps the tone calm and practical, while the close weave gives just enough texture to add depth without visual fuss.

How to use it

Use Huxley Brick on an armchair, banquette, or loose-cover piece where the warm terracotta tone can bring depth to pale woods and plaster neutrals. It also works well as relaxed curtains or Roman blinds when you want colour with a grounded, softly worn look.

A warm, earthy tone that works well on tailored upholstery or soft window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
