Huxley Blue is a quietly coloured plain weave with a cool, powdery blue tone and a softly heathered surface. Its fine texture gives the colour a gentle depth rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

Woven in 51% cotton and 49% polyester, this 138cm-wide fabric has a practical, versatile handle and no visible repeat, making it easy to plan for tailored schemes. The blue reads as pale and airy, with a softened grey undertone that keeps it calm rather than bright. Close up, the cloth shows a neat, fine weave with a subtle linen-like texture that catches the light in a restrained way. The overall effect is clean, fresh and understated, suited to relaxed rooms that still need a polished finish.

How to use it

Use Huxley Blue on a pared-back armchair, bench or cushion when you want colour without heaviness. It pairs especially well with white paintwork, pale oak and crisp neutrals, where its cool blue cast can stay light and serene.

A calm powder blue that works beautifully across upholstery and light window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
