Cobblestone Spice

Chesil Fabric

Cobblestone Spice brings a lively terracotta warmth to the Chesil herringbone, with the lighter yarns lifting the surface and giving the weave plenty of movement.

About this fabric

Woven in a 6% polyester, 22% linen, 22% cotton and 50% viscose blend, this fabric has the textured handle and softly reflective finish you can see in the tight herringbone pattern. The colourway reads as a warm spice tone: earthy, orange-brown and slightly sunbaked, with pale yarns breaking up the ground for a crisp, tactile effect. It is rated to 40,000 Martindale and specified for fixed upholstery, making it suitable for both contract and general domestic use. The fabric is 137cm wide, has an approximate herringbone pattern repeat, and should be dry cleaned. It also conforms to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1.

How to use it

Use Cobblestone Spice on an accent chair, banquette or ottoman where its warm terracotta depth can anchor the room. It works especially well with oak, walnut, chalky neutrals and softened greens.

Pair with natural woods and creamy neutrals for a warm, grounded look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Cobblestone Spice without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
