12 Spice
Hillbank Fabric12
Hillbank 12 Spice has a vivid warm terracotta tone, with red-orange depth that shifts gently across its tightly woven surface. The close-up reveals a fine, irregular crosshatch rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric
This colourway combines a saturated spice-red base with lighter orange and deeper rust threads, giving the surface a subtly varied, tactile appearance. Its compact weave is visibly composed of small intersecting threads, creating a softly nubby texture and quiet tonal movement. The weave reads as substantial enough for upholstery from the image, although no composition, width, usage or rub-test information has been supplied for this fabric. The colour has more warmth and visual energy than a muted brown, while remaining grounded by its finely textured surface.
How to use it
Use 12 Spice to add a warm terracotta accent to an armchair, ottoman or sofa, particularly alongside cream, natural timber and deep olive tones. Its red-orange depth can also bring warmth to a room dominated by cooler neutrals.
A warm, richly textured terracotta weave that brings depth and energy to upholstered furniture.

Pairs well with
12 Spice is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
