Drayton Stripe Tomato/Olive

Eaton Checks and Stripes FabricF4904-04

Drayton Stripe Tomato/Olive brings a warm, softly weathered stripe to the Eaton Checks and Stripes collection. The tomato ground reads as a muted terracotta red, lifted by narrow olive and pale neutral bands for a calm, traditional rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven in 84% viscose and 16% linen, this fabric has the smooth, lightly slubby character you would expect from a viscose-linen cloth, with enough body to suit both curtains and light upholstery. The stripe is set on a vertical layout in the image, though the stated pattern repeat is a horizontal 12cm approx., giving the design a neat, measured structure. The tomato colour is softened rather than bright, so it feels earthy and usable, while the olive notes add a gentle, inherited-country quality. At approximately 140cm wide, it is a practical choice for tailored furnishings, loose covers or lined drapery where you want colour without heaviness.

How to use it

Use it in a scheme with painted woodwork, ticking and worn brass to echo its understated country-house feel. The muted tomato base works especially well with cream linens, olive accents and natural timber.

Pairs neatly with warm oak, aged brass and soft neutrals for a layered country look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Drayton Stripe Tomato/Olive without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
