Dante Coral

Dante Velvet VelvetF4797-15

Dante Coral is a smooth, warm velvet in a softened coral terracotta shade with a gentle, even pile. The colour reads rich and grounded rather than bright, with subtle tonal shifts as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

From the Dante Velvet collection by Colefax and Fowler, this colourway is woven in 100% cotton and has a width of approximately 140cm. The velvet pile gives the surface a quiet lustre, so the coral tone deepens in the shadows and lifts slightly on the nap. With a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm approx, it presents as a plain velvet rather than a patterned cloth, which keeps the focus on the colour itself. The overall effect is a warm terracotta-coral with a muted, sophisticated finish that feels richer than a simple pink but softer than a brick red.

How to use it

Use Dante Coral on a petite armchair, ottoman or headboard where its warm coral tone can glow against timber, cane or pale plaster. It pairs especially well with chalky neutrals, tobacco leather and aged brass for a tailored, inviting scheme.

A warm coral velvet that brings an inviting, tailored richness to simple upholstery shapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
