A deep Delft blue velvet with a smooth, even surface and a quietly luminous pile. The colour reads dark and refined, with just enough blue brightness to show through at the lightest angles.

About this fabric

Dante Velvet in Delft Blue is a plain velvet with no repeat, giving the surface an uninterrupted, tailored look. The 100% cotton composition and 140cm approximate width make it a versatile furnishing cloth, while the CM fire code adds practical reassurance. In this colourway the blue is cool and saturated, sitting between navy depth and brighter Delft clarity. The pile catches the light softly, creating subtle tonal movement rather than a high sheen.

How to use it

Use this shade on an armchair, ottoman or smart loose cover to bring depth to a room without introducing pattern. It also works well against chalky whites, weathered oak and brushed brass, where the blue feels especially crisp.

Pair with pale linen and warm timber to let the blue velvet feel rich rather than heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
