About this fabric

Part of Colefax and Fowler’s Dante Velvet collection, this fabric is woven in 100% cotton and measures approximately 140cm wide. The pile gives the surface a smooth, dense look, while the colour sits in a dark Cyprus green that stays cool and shadowy rather than bright. With a vertical and horizontal repeat of 0cm approximately, it presents as a plain velvet with no visible motif, making the texture and sheen the focus. It is a strong choice where a richly coloured, elegant finish is wanted without pattern distraction.

How to use it

Use this dark green velvet to ground a room with walnut, brass or painted timber, where the near-black depth will add contrast. It is especially effective on formal seating, cushions or a single statement chair in a softly lit interior.
