About this fabric

Part of the Dante Velvet collection by Colefax and Fowler, this colourway is a 100% cotton velvet with a width of approximately 140cm and a repeat of 0cm vertically and horizontally. The surface has the plush, directional sheen expected of velvet, but the tone stays restrained rather than bright, landing in a dark forest green with an inky depth. That dense coloration gives the cloth a formal, polished feel, while the absence of pattern keeps the focus on texture and light. The care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √CM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Dante Forest on a sofa, armchair or ottoman where the deep green can sit against walnut, brass or painted joinery. It also works well in a scheme with pale plaster walls or warm neutrals, where the velvet’s depth reads especially luxurious.
