Tabala Fabric

Makona Kaitoke combines a deep forest-green ground with long, painterly botanical leaves in pale ivory, sage grey and warm rust. The generous, partially cropped foliage gives the colourway a richly immersive character.

About this fabric

The ground shifts from deep green to near-black in places, creating a shadowed backdrop for the elongated leaves. Ivory and muted sage strokes bring cool light across the design, while rust and ochre sections add concentrated warmth. The softly irregular, brush-painted appearance gives the large-scale botanical motif an expressive, layered quality rather than a precise graphic finish. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Makona Kaitoke as a dramatic focal fabric against warm timber, aged brass or simple cream upholstery, allowing the forest-green ground to anchor the room. Its rust leaf accents can be picked up in cushions or smaller decorative details for a cohesive, autumnal scheme.

Use the deep green ground with warm rust and pale leaf tones to bring dramatic botanical depth to upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
