About this fabric
The design combines near-black charcoal brushwork with pale grey and taupe-grey grounds, creating strong contrast without a bright or saturated colour. Fine vertical striations run through the image, while broken horizontal strokes and block-like patches form an abstract, distressed check effect. The visible surface reads as a substantial, textured textile, with the dark marks appearing denser in some areas and more open in others.
How to use it
Use Jackson Charcoal on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool, ink-dark tone can anchor pale timber, stone and brushed metal. Keep surrounding textiles quiet so the irregular charcoal pattern remains the room’s main graphic element.
