About this fabric

This plain velvet from the Vintage Velvet collection is made from 100% polyester and is supplied for contract use, with a 30,000 Martindale rating for dependable durability. The surface has a smooth, tactile pile that gives the colour a dense forest-green depth, while the nap creates gentle shifts from near-black to greener highlights as it moves in the light. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and can be wiped clean or professionally dry cleaned in situ, subject to the pattern book care guidance. The overall effect is refined and grounded rather than bright, making this a strong choice where a darker green should feel rich and composed.

How to use it

Highland Green works beautifully on a sofa, banquette or accent chair where its velvety depth can anchor the room. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and cream textiles to bring out the greener notes in the pile.
